The Travel section of Nosh With David contains my experiences while traveling around the United States and the world. Please enjoy my reviews and stories of the hotels, resorts, and important destinations I’ve experienced throughout my life.
They all provide reviews, from industry experts to travel writers to your next door neighbor. However, they all seem to have such a varied interpretation of what is good versus bad. One reviewer talks about the luxurious accommodations of an Embassy Suites and their best-in-class made-to-order breakfast while another reviewer laments the inferior quality of US-based Park Hyatt Hotels versus their overseas counterparts such as the Park Hyatt Dubai. Yes, Dubai, where they made their own islands just so they could build more hotels. So, I decided to put my best travel experiences on ‘paper’ as a record for myself and anyone else that would like to read them. Since they are of my best experiences, I will not be writing any negative reviews. I will also write very few if any, neutral reviews because I just want to record and share my best experiences.
As much as I love sharing my experiences on Yelp and Tripadvisor and rating them on a scale of one to five, I do not have such ‘ratings’ on my reviews here on Nosh With David. It would be difficult for me to add an accurate rating to a total experience for me. While writing for Yelp, the rating and how I score one review over another became a fixation for me. It took away from my ability to accurately convey how an experience made me feel.
My reviews here reflect my personal experience at a hotel or destination in its entirety. The friends and family that I travel with impact my experiences tremendously. Every review I write reflects a bit of my personality and talks about my experience as a whole and how this experience has become a part of who I am now.
